Funding

The Lenches Pre-school provides government Nursery Education Funding for children who are two, three and four years old. This funding entitles a child to receive 15 hours of Universal Funding or up to 30 hours of Extended Funding per week, 38 weeks of the year.

If your child is eligible for any of the funding, you will receive a form from the manager to fill in. Once the contract has been signed and agreed, the entitlement will secure funding for a full term and you will not be able to transfer the free entitlement payment to another provider until the term ends.

Early Years Pupil Premium

(EYPP)

Childcare providers can claim extra funding through EYPP to support individual children’s development, learning and care. The funding provides a small amount of extra  funding for two, three and four old children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits or children who have been, or previously been looked after by the local authority.

The funding can be used in any way we choose to improve quality to the early years education. This might include additional training for staff, buying resources for a child or providing some extra sessions. Each case will be individually discussed and agreed with parents/ carers.

Breakfast Club

We offer Breakfast Club Monday to Friday from 8.30am - 9.00am.

Children are offered a choice of toast, fruit, cereal and milk and are encouraged to make decisions, try new things, help themselves, and pour their own milk.  All developing and working towards independence.

Breakfast club is a wonderful opportunity for group discussion contributing to developing speech and language.

Extended Hours

We offer additional hours Monday to Wednesday from 3.30pm - 5.30pm.

During this time children are offered a choice of snack and are encouraged to make decisions, try new things, help themselves, and pour their own milk.  All developing and working towards independence.

During the last hour or so we have a strong focus on children's mental wellbeing as the day comes to a close and we reflect on our achievements.
